Patrons Program

KickArts is grateful to the many people who have donated to us over nearly 20 years of operation. We would not be able to extend our creative program, support artists, and promote contemporary arts in our region without this valuable support.

KickArts is registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) with the Australian Taxation Office. Donations to the KickArts Contemporary Arts Limited Donations Fund are tax deductible for amounts of $2 or more.

The KickArts Patrons Program, enables donors to target a specific activity to support from the ones below that we are seeking funding for:

  • Djumbunji Press KickArts Fine Art Printmaking Artist in Residence program — to enable an artist to spend productive time, from one week or more, in the studio to extend their skills and develop fine art prints.
  • Exhibition catalogue — a colour catalogue is an essential marketing tool for an exhibition and for the artist themselves.
  • Crate storeroom upgrade — we need to professionally present works of art in our store room with a purpose built artwork display system.
  • New ‘Works on Paper’ exhibition and competition — help provide Cairns with a major new art competition.
  • Exhibition program — we would like to increase the number of exhibitions that we present annually, but there are many associated costs including insurance, installation costs, marketing and printing.
  • Educational and public programs — we would like to increase the number of young people who interact with our programs. Education kits, artist talks, online presentations and recorded interviews extend the experience for young people.
